The New Zealand government has defended the country’s strict corona policy in a response to the story of journalist Charlotte Bellis. Pregnant Bellis, who is the partner of Belgian photographer Jim Huylebroek, described in an open letter in the New Zealand Herald last weekend how she was forced to ask for help from the Taliban in Afghanistan after the return to her motherland was rejected because of the current corona measures.
