New Year’s Eve will be wet and exceptionally warm

The weekend of New Year’s Eve is completely dominated by rain and extremely high temperatures. That is what NH News weatherman Jan Visser says.

On New Year’s Eve it will be about 13 to 14 degrees, according to Visser. At night the temperature does not drop below 10. “That’s super soft,” he says. “Normally it’s about 1 at night and 6 or 7 degrees during the day.”

He finds that worrying. “It fits in with the pattern of increasingly warmer weather. In Germany it can even reach 19 to 20 degrees this weekend.”

Rain

It will also rain a lot. “That is the word, the red thread of the weekend. It may turn out to be not so bad in the coming days when the front moves across our country. But it now seems as if the emphasis is precisely on the evening and night of New Year’s Eve .”

Bad luck for people who want to set off fireworks. “The enthusiasm to stay outside for a long time will be less,” says Visser. “On the other hand, that can limit the nuisance.”
