How did the grand finale go? Who is the new Last Man Standing? After René Casselly, is there another Ninja Warrior Germany? sport.de provides the answers!

  • Naked ninjas on stage two

On the second stage, the athletes were under time pressure again. Only those who managed all five obstacles in the given 2:30 minutes kept their chances of overall victory alive.

The seven remaining finalists did not show any weaknesses here. Sladjan Djulabic, Max Görner, Jona Schöne, Lukas Kilian, Moritz Hans, Marvin Mitterhuber and Philipp Göthert were all able to finish.

Max Görner set the best time. The 19-year-old only needed 2:07.47 minutes. Görner was followed by Djulabic (2:08.74) and Göthert (2:14.50).

  • Two Ninas survive the third stage

As expected, the field thinned out in the third lap. Although there was no time limit here, the course was all the harder.

Only Görner and Hans managed the obstacles completely. Schöne, Kilian, Göthert and Mitterhuber dropped out shortly before the finish. The quartet failed on the third handle of the flight path.

For Djulabic, on the other hand, the rotating bars were already over. “I’m super happy with all the laps,” said the 29-year-old on the RTL microphone.

  • Görner is crowned the new Last Man Standing

At Mount Midoriyama it came to a showdown between Görner and Hans. Last year there was a novelty at the final obstacle.

René Casselly was the first German athlete to conquer the mount and thus became the first Ninja Warrior Germany.

Görner and Hans tried to imitate Casselly’s feat. Görner advanced and made it to the sixth rung of the ladder to heaven. As a result, Hans had to reach at least the seventh rung in order to be named Last Man Standing. However, the 26-year-old did not succeed in meeting these requirements.

So Hans slipped on the third rung and ultimately had to admit defeat to Görner. The man from Nuremberg is the youngest Last Man Standing outside of America and receives 25,000 euros as a result of his success. However, there is no Ninja Warrior Germany.

“The title means everything to me. I’m just speechless. I never in my life expected that I would get this far, especially at the age of 19,” said Görner about his victory.

  • The obstacles in the course

At the start of the final, the ninjas had to complete a course within 2:30 minutes. The obstacles in the way were the chaos cones, the corkscrew, the falling boards, the hand-held pick-up jack and the invisible ladder.

There was no time limit on the second stage. Here the steep curve with rope to Hangel-Stäbe 2.0, the drawbridge and the stalactites to the rotating bars as well as the flight path awaited the ninjas.

Mount Midoriyama was composed of the chimney, the ladder to heaven and the rope. There was also a sporting limit of 30 seconds.
