Shortly before the start of the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, six hundred doping controls were carried out. Some of these checks were the first to use a new way of taking blood. Instead of a tube of blood, a few drops are now sufficient, which are sent to the testing laboratory in dried form for analysis.
