The following changes to the quarantine policy are effective immediately:
The quarantine advice for children is cancelled
- Children aged 0-18 do not need to be quarantined if they are a roommate (category 1) or close contact (category 2) of someone who has tested positive for Covid-19. The advice applies to these children not to have contact with vulnerable persons for 10 days after they have been in close contact with an infected person.
- The advice applies to children aged 0-4 if they are a roommate or close contact of someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, and they themselves have (mild) complaints.
- The current rules continue to apply to children aged 4-12 who go to the BSO that they stay at home with (mild) complaints and do a (self) test.
- Children who test positive themselves will be quarantined at home for at least 7 days.
Invoke quarantine advice exception
- The cabinet has previously announced that the following groups of adults are excluded from quarantine:
- People who received their booster vaccination more than a week ago
- People who tested positive for corona less than 8 weeks ago
- People who have tested positive for corona after January 1
- For childcare workers without complaints who do not fall under these exceptions, employers and employees can make an exception together if this is essential for the continuity of the care. Think of situations where no replacement is available and groups have to be closed differently.
- Employers and employees make agreements together about which precautions are necessary in their specific situation. More information is available on the page of the Dutch government: Quarantine and employees in essential business processes | Coronavirus COVID-19 | Rijksoverheid.nl
