New vaccination center in Torhout: “We are already preparing for a new infection season”

Several vaccination centers have since closed their doors. But each primary care zone still has one vaccination center. At the site of the former furniture factory Thor in the Industrielaan in Torhout, they are already running a trial this afternoon. On Thursday, people can go here for the first time to be vaccinated.

“Doubters and Ukrainians can still take a vaccine”

“In this phase, we will mainly serve newcomers and doubters who still want to be vaccinated. These groups mainly consist of new five-year-olds, twelve-year-olds, new Flemings, asylum seekers and Ukrainian refugees,” explains center manager Ellen Boriau.

Vaccines for general practitioners and nurses will also arrive in the new vaccination center.
