The judicial scandal in Santiago Del Estero, linked to the case of federal police officer Juan Pablo Fernández, detained for more than four years with preventive detention, generated new ramifications. Fernández is accused of having been a hitman. He insists that he is a “parsley.” The case has as its genesis a land possession conflict in the interior of Santiago del Estero, more precisely in the department of Pellegrini.
Until a few weeks ago, the file was accelerated and the start of the trial was set for the end of March. His relatives attribute it to the commotion generated by the leak of an audio in which the former prosecutor is allegedly heard. Aída Farrán Serlé recognizing that Fernández was wrongly accused.

With the viralization of these audios, Farrán Serlé, Judge Darío Alarcón, and the coordinating prosecutor Julio Mariano Gómez, were reported to the Judicial Council, where they were accused of “omission of duties, denial of justice and failure to fulfill the duties of a public official.” Now, the Public Prosecutor’s Office has charged Farrán Serlé: prosecutor Mauricio Abramczuk has already taken his investigative statement.
“The MPF, represented by members of the Prosecutor’s Unit for Crimes against Sexual Integrity and Institutional Violence, took a statement from the accused by the crime of attorney malfeasanceas author, to Dr. Aida Farrán Serlé, who worked as a prosecutor in the Fiscal Unit to Fight Drug Trafficking, and who in 2020, resigned when the Attorney General’s Office ordered an audit to be carried out in said dependence upon noticing irregularities in it,” read the statement from the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Santiago del Estero.
“According to what was reported by the representative of the Prosecutor’s Office –Dr. Mauricio Abramczuk-, the criminal attribution was made as a result of the investigation that began in January of this year, after the accused, in fact assuming the role as defender of Mr. Juan Pablo Fernández, affirmed a series of facts lacking veracity without any proof, using her previous role as investigative prosecutor, with the intention of favoring the procedural situation of the accused and deliberately prejudice and hinder the judicial case and the administration of justice,” concluded
At par, new audios went viral that would prove that the armed men were the operation of an illicit association. The investigators also involve in the operation the former lawyers of the accused as the author of the hitman, and relatives in high positions in the provincial justice system. The complaint made by the lawyer Edgardo Taboada He pointed out a “systematic refusal of any proposal or request made,” disregarding constitutional guarantees. The lawyer argued that he was responding to a “complex maneuver in an attempt to illegitimately appropriate properties throughout the territory of the province.”
