Photos of the 29-year-old in swimming trunks are making waves on social media.
It’s a bird! It’s an airplane! It’s… the best part of Superman? It was only announced at the end of June that David Corenswet, known from the Netflix series “The Politician”, will play the role of the Man of Steel in James Gunn’s “Superman: Legacy”. Only a little later, however, Corenswet was in the public eye because of a completely different topic: his apparently large penis.
Since Corenswet was cast in the “Superman” reboot, pictures of the 29-year-old taking a bath have been doing the rounds on social media. These were captured by paparazzi a few years ago. On it you can see a clearly visible bulge in his tight-fitting swimming trunks. Of course, Twitter users insisted on drawing attention to Superman’s prominent masculinity.
“I guess his Superman costume will require a lot of custom work,” tweeted user JustaJerseyGirl wryly. “David Corenswet’s ‘Superman’ is already so powerful that even his bump has a fan base of his own. It’s like a little superhero inside a superhero. The ‘man of steel’ that makes women weak and men question their life choices,” the jokeGPT account added. Although the discussion, which went viral, has caused amusement on the Internet, some skeptics suspect a PR stunt behind the reappearance of the photos.
In “Superman: Legacy”, David Corenswet inherits the previous actor Henry Cavill, who played Krypton’s last son in five films. After it was announced that Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn would be giving the DC universe a creative reboot, there was much speculation about the recast of the popular comic book character. Ultimately, Gunn chose not to continue with Brit Cavill.
The likely end of the current DC film universe is currently in the cinemas with “The Flash”, which was brought to life in 2013 by director Zack Snyder. Ezra Miller, a controversial cast, stars as the red runabout.
