Herbert Grönemeyer released his first single in three years this Friday (November 18th): “Deine Hand”.
His album “Das ist los”, which he will also present on his tour in the summer, will be released on March 24, 2023. The track’s TV premiere will take place on Saturday (November 19) on “Wetten, dass.. ?”
With his lines, Grönemeyer wants to give hope
In the piece, the musician addresses our ongoing Corona crisis as well as other political problems and their emotional consequences for our society. He said to the dpa: “I think that we have been very isolated in recent years. That we felt like we were very much on our own. Also because of the virus, which of course made us all very lonely.”
And since, according to the artist, it can be difficult to find hope, he would like to encourage the listeners. Grönemeyer continues: “When you have the feeling that someone is thinking about you, when you realize that you can only do it together and only by simply supporting each other and understanding that there is simply a great meaning in life and great opportunities in friendships and support – then your heart feels lighter and you feel safe and held.” And so it says in the refrain: “Your hand gives me the support that I so urgently need in order not to break. Hold her tight! (…)”
