New shelter for Ukrainian refugees in Odoorn

The municipality of Borger-Odoorn will receive another 20 to 28 Ukrainian refugees in the municipality. The new reception location is the Oringer Stee, a branch of the hotel Oringer Marke opposite.

“We continue to look for opportunities to receive Ukrainian refugees,” said Mayor Jan Seton. “The war in Ukraine is not over yet, so there is still a need for a safe place for these people. It is great that we can offer this type of shelter in consultation with our entrepreneurs.”

Next Tuesday evening there will be an information meeting in the Oringer Marke for local residents. Borger-Odoorn previously welcomed Ukrainians in Exloo, Nieuw-Buinen and Klijndijk.
