Disney+ makes the full range of the Walt Disney Company available to its users. But not only for children there is a lot of content available, there is also a lot to stream for adults. In addition to the National Geographic innovations, the popular Star Wars universe and the superheroes from Marvel are also represented on Disney+. In addition, since February 2021 there has been an offer more geared towards adults called “Star”.

New movies on Disney+ in August
In August, Disney+ is bringing significantly fewer new films and documentaries to its program than usual. The animated film “Lightyear” is coming straight from the cinema to the streaming platform. We can also look forward to a new “Predator” movie, which has been critically acclaimed as the best part of the series so far.
Lightyear – starting August 3rd
1.5 months after the theatrical release, “Lightyear” is now also available for streaming on Disney+. The animated film follows the backstory of popular Toy Story character Buzz Lightyear.

Prey – starting August 5th
The Hulu film is the 5th installment in the popular “Predator” series. The Comancheria in 1719: warrior Naru fiercely protects her tribe from a sophisticated alien Predator. She also fights against her tribe’s prejudices against female warriors.

New series on Disney+ in August
While Disney + subscribers were still able to enjoy a wide range in July, the selection of new series in August is thinner than it has been for a long time. Disney apparently tried to make up for this with quality and big names, as there were originally two self-produced highlights in the starting blocks: “Andor” and “She-Hulk”, series from the Star Wars and Marvel universes. However, the start of “Andor” has now been postponed to September. After all, the latest “American Horror Story” season – “Double Feature” – is still available from the beginning of August.

She-Hulk – from August 17th
“Ms. Marvel” at Disney +, now the next Marvel highlight is in the starting blocks with “She-Hulk”. In the series, Bruce Banner’s cousin, played by Tatiana Maslany, acts as a superhero and a lawyer. However, it has this double burden in itself.

American Horror Story: Double Feature – Coming August 17th
The popular horror series American Horror Story is back with a new season! Many well-known stars of the anthology production return in “Double Feature”, including Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Finn Wittrock and Lily Rabe.
Snowdrop – from August 31st
Disney+ is now also releasing (South) Korean series as originals. “Snowdrop” tells the story of a graduate student who falls in love with a young freshman. A relationship develops against the background of the democracy movement of the 1980s.
