The Momentum 4 has traded the striking design of its predecessors for a simplified appearance. The headphones were previously made of metal and leather, but the new version is made of plastic. According to Sennheiser, this change should provide more wearing comfort.
Also striking is the battery life of the Momentum 4. According to Sennheiser, it lasts up to sixty hours on a charge, which is a lot more than headphones from competitors. For example, the QuietComfort 45 from Bose lasts about 24 hours and the Sony WH1000XM5 about 30 hours.
The Sennheiser headphones have noise cancellation and can now be controlled with tap and swipe gestures. When wearers take off the headphones for a moment, the music pauses. It continues when it is set up.
The Momentum 4 will go on sale August 23. It costs 350 euros.
