NEW SEASON 4 LAUNCH COLLECTION

The label is a wardrobe partner for the second biggest Netflix show of all time

The surf and lifestyle brand Quiksilver is launching the latest collaboration with the cult series at the start of the forthcoming fourth season of the Netflix Original Series Stranger Things. The show will be released in two parts: the premiere of the first part “Volume One” will take place on May 27th, the “Volume Two” release will follow on July 1st, 2022. In line with the two launch dates of the series, Quiksilver is planning during Several capsule drops throughout the season, combining nostalgic styles from the brand’s ’80s surf era and elements from the Stranger Things 4 storyline. The entire collection will be available on quiksilver.com from May 27, 2022

For the past three years, Quiksilver and the Netflix costume team have worked closely together, delving into the brand’s archives to not only develop the design and looks for the cast’s wardrobe, but also to revitalize some of the most iconic pieces and create a collaborative collection to design that will be available to customers. The Stranger Things series is set in the 1980s, and thanks to the extensive styles from the Quiksilver archive, Netflix and Quiksilver have been able to work together to create an original and authentic collection that reflects the setting of the show and Quiksilver’s roots. The official Quiksilver x Stranger Things 4 collections will include exclusive pieces worn by the cast throughout the show, as well as stylish looks from the Quiksilver archive and merchandise with nods to each episode of Season 4.

“Working closely with the costume designer on the Stranger Things show has been such a unique and special journey,” says Quiksilver Product Director Andrew Henry. “We were able to revive the classic styles from the Quiksilver archives in 1986 and 1987 and take them further with elements inspired by Stranger Things 4, creating unique looks for both the cast and the fans. We’re excited to tell Quiksilver’s story this season of Stranger Things and to reach new audiences they know and love through this show.”

“Quiksilver was a staple of California fashion in the 1980s,” says Stranger Things costume designer Amy Parris. “The show is so faithful to the original that it only made sense to incorporate Quiksilver archive pieces into our costume design this season.”

To celebrate the launch of the new collaboration, Quiksilver is planning unique pop-ups for fans and extensive seeding campaigns worldwide. The collections will be available worldwide through Quiksilver.com.
