A number of new residents of the Nieuwveense Landen district in Meppel are given the opportunity to design their own house. This concerns 42 terraced houses, which are located in Boshoven, a sub-area within Nieuwveense Landen.
Meppel councilor Robin van Ulzen and the residents’ group, united in CPO Boshoven, today signed a so-called cooperation agreement for the housing project.
Van Ulzen: “In Nieuwveense Landen we provide space for collective private commissioning (CPO). This gives private individuals the space to jointly design and build their own home. The CPO Boshoven association has taken this opportunity to build affordable terraced houses for a diverse group. residents.”
The houses, partly made of reusable material, are assembled in the factory as much as possible. Construction will start in the course of next year.
The municipality is also in discussions with four other so-called CPO initiatives. The plans range from tiny houses to detached homes. In the near future it should become clear which plans are feasible, the municipality writes.
