The construction of the Holland International Blues Festival in Grolloo is in full swing. At the end of this week, the famous pink event tent will be full of fans of blues music. Brand new presenter Erwin Nyhoff looks ahead.
“You just get overwhelmed. I came on stage and then the whole place is full. That really makes an impression.” A year ago, Erwin Nyhoff was still on stage at the Blues Festival as an artist. A feeling that is indescribable. “It’s such a beautiful festival, so well set up. Really fantastic.”
This year Nyhoff again takes the microphone, but this time to announce top international artists from his own genre. Despite his experience on stage, as a musician and as an actor during the musical theater spectacle about the Drenthe blues legend Harry Muskee, the born Dalfsenaar has a healthy tension for his first presenting job.
“It’s exciting enough when you do the music yourself, but now I find it even more exciting, I must say,” says Nyhoff, standing on the main stage in the pink tent. “It’s not my natural habitat, although I really enjoy doing it. And oh, you know, everyone can talk a bit crooked!”
