The ski stars have just under seven weeks to prepare for the start of the new season. The Italian camp is also working hard at the moment, with great hopes once again resting on top ski racer Sofia Goggia. Now the 29-year-old has leaked her team’s new outfit.
For a long time last season, things went like clockwork for Sofia Goggia. In Lake Louise, the Italian won three races within three days with two downhill runs and a Super-G as only the fourth runner ever.
At the end of January, the Bergamo-born star athlete fell in Cortina d’Ampezzo so badly that she tore her anterior cruciate ligament, and her knee joint and fibula were also affected.
All the more impressive that Goggia was fit again for the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing and was able to start in the downhill. There she finished second behind Corinne Suter and won her second Olympic medal.
Goggia’s magnificent outfit causes a stir
Now, almost eight months later, the Italian hopeful, who also has many admirers outside of sport, is in the hot phase of preparation for the 2022/2023 ski season. The 2018 Olympic champion is currently training in Argentina.
To further fuel the anticipation of the fans, Goggia has now leaked the new racing suit of the Italian selection on social media. The outfit of the new noble sponsor Emporio Armani caused quite a stir. The logo of the luxury brand is placed on the left shoulder.
It is piquant that Armani is still arguing in court with the previous Italy outfitter Kappa. The two companies each claim the right to outfit the Italian team for the next four years.
With her social media post, Goggia has now brought new explosiveness to the argument, but at the same time further fanned the anticipation of her fans.
