New owner continues brands

The clothing supplier Heinecke & Klaproth had already announced that it intended to cease business operations at the end of June. But now the brands of the traditional Bückeburg company founded in 1901 have a future again.

Continentala Capital GmbH, based in Nörten-Hardenberg, has taken over Revils Menswear GmbH and thus secured “the entire brand portfolio” from Heinecke & Klaproth, according to a statement published on Friday. The established brands Mens, Hoal, Doc Parkers and Revils would now “continue under new management”.

Gregor Roy-Chowdhury, the managing partner of Continentala Capital, sees “the important step as a strategic decision to gain a foothold and grow in the Western European men’s trousers market in one fell swoop,” the company explained. “The collections retain their tried-and-tested brand essence, and will continue to be maintained and developed so that specialist retailers and consumers can be served with almost no interruptions.”

According to a statement, Roy-Chowdhury is “striving for a modern streamlining of central processes” and is “considering an additional expansion of the newly acquired brand portfolio”. First of all, however, it is important “to shape the second half of the year together with the specialist trade and sales partners and to get the SS24 collections off the ground,” explained the 45-year-old.

Heinecke & Klaproth shareholder Peter Klaproth welcomed the solution that had now been found: “We ourselves did not have the strategic possibilities of Continentala Capital and are pleased with the dynamics of the brand takeover and the continuation of all collections,” he explained in a statement.
