More than a million children attend nursery every day. However, childcare is almost succumbing to staff shortages and regulations. “Together with other childcare organizations, we are sounding the alarm,” says Meike Emmelkamp of SKSG, a large childcare institution in Groningen. “In a burning letter to the minister we let out a cry from the heart.”
