The rumor mill surrounding FC Bayern has been running extremely hot for weeks. Now a whole new name is being traded by the German record champions.
As the “fussballtransfers.com” portal reports, FC Bayern is also dealing with Khéphren Thuram from the French first division club OGC Nice. Coach Thomas Tuchel is said to have recommended the 22-year-old brother of former Gladbacher Marcus Thuram.
Accordingly, Munich’s plans for the France U21 national player are quite concrete: FC Bayern are planning talks with those around Khéphren Thuram.
It should also already be clear that in the event of a transfer, around 50 million euros would be due for the midfielder, who is contractually bound to Nice until 2025.
Whether FC Bayern’s interest in Thuram is really that hot remains questionable for the time being. According to “Sky” reporter Florian Plettenberg, he is not a transfer target on Säbener Straße. There are also no personal negotiations, the journalist wrote on Twitter.
Prominent competition for FC Bayern?
It seems clear that Thuram has made it onto the shopping lists of some larger clubs. In addition to FC Bayern, FC Liverpool and RB Leipzig are also associated with the 1.92 meter giant, who has a strong physique and technique.
At Bayern, the search for a new midfield clearer recently faltered. Tuchel’s alleged top candidate Declan Rice is not available. The West Ham United captain is drawn to Arsenal.
Instead, the Munich team is currently focusing on signing a new central defender and a center forward. Min-jae Kim (SSC Napoli) and Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur) are hotly traded for these positions.
Lucas Hernández, on the other hand, will probably leave Bayern Munich for Paris Saint-Germain. Further departures are also not excluded.
