Reinforcement for the offensive
Hungary’s Nemzeti Bajnokság have a new MVP following the transfer of Carlos Auzqui (30) from River Plate to Ferencváros. As the club from the capital Budapest reported on Saturday, the attacker signed a contract with a market value of 3.5 million euros until 2024. The Argentinian has thus overtaken his new team-mate Aïssa Laïdouni (25) in the league ranking, who previously had a market value of 3 million euros greeted from the top.
According to media reports, the Hungarian record champion pays a fee of between 600,000 and 800,000 euros for Auzqui. The right-footer has been under contract with River Plate since 2017, who have loaned him out three times before they finally parted ways. Auzqui was used in 42 games (four goals/five assists) for the Argentinian top club.
A move to Hungary was possible because the transfer window there is open until February 14th. Reigning champions Ferencváros are in a three-way battle with Puskás AFC and Kisvárda for the title, the capitals are third on 38 points, two behind leaders Puskás AFC (to the table).
