New memorial place for family that died on A59, too busy at home

The sea of ​​flowers that arose at the house of the family who died in an accident became so large that it was decided to make a memorial somewhere else. Many acquaintances of the victims, a 10-year-old girl, her 13-year-old brother and their 46-year-old father and mother, came to the house to offer their condolences.

The memorial site in the center of Raamsdonksveer has been open since Monday afternoon. “We kindly request that you no longer place items in the front garden, but that you use the new memorial site,” the municipality said in a message that hangs at the victims’ house.

The death of the family hits Raamsdonksveer hard. “We are shocked and sad,” said Mayor Marian Witte after the accident. “We wish their loved ones, family, friends, colleagues, classmates and everyone who suddenly has to miss this family a lot of strength and strength.”
