SCJ (Susanne) Scheepers has been appointed mayor of the municipality of Simpelveld. The appointment will take effect on July 13, 2023.

Mrs. Scheepers (53 years old) is currently acting municipal clerk in the municipality of Roermond. Dion Schneider (VVD) is currently acting mayor of Simpelveld.
