Ms. MC (Marieke) Teunissen-Willemsen has been appointed mayor of the municipality of Scherpenzeel. The appointment will take effect on December 15, 2022.

Ms. Teunissen-Willemsen (45 years old) is a member of the VVD. She is currently an alderman of the municipality of Oudewater.
Currently Wimar Jaeger (D66) acting mayor of Scherpenzeel.
