DWJ (Dion) Schneider has been appointed mayor of the municipality of Maasgouw. The appointment will take effect on July 12, 2023.

Mr Schneider (52 years old) is a member of the VVD. He is currently acting mayor of the municipality of Simpelveld.
Stef Strous (PvdA) is currently acting mayor of Maasgouw.
