Niek Schrijvershof, Katja Schuurman’s new lover, has absolutely no problem with media attention. He even spoke to the Story completely. “I think it’s fine.”
Katja Schuurman’s 30-year-old boyfriend, who is 47 herself, finds all that attention interesting. “We are very happy together. Of course we still have a lot to discover about each other, but that’s just fun. What do I think of all the attention? Actually fine. She likes to be in the foreground, I’m more someone in the background,” he says in Story.
Ecological friend
Will Niek now also become a celebrity, just like Katja’s previous friend? In any case, his work is not very mediagenic. He lives in Ibiza and is in ‘ecological management’. “I do that in Spain, but we are now expanding. We are also setting up projects in the Netherlands. That varies from agriculture to biogas, compost and waste and drinking water.”
But what exactly does he do? “We focus on replacing chemicals so to speak.”

Katja does not have to count on Niek to move in with her. “I just have to work, for that I travel all over Spain. So I fly up and down. I love it here in the Netherlands, it’s way too hot in Spain right now.”
How does Niek think that he is now the bonus dad of Katja’s daughters? He concludes in the Story: “I have already met Coco, what a sweetheart! Do I have children of my own? I’ll leave that in the middle.”
