New laundry department for washing reusable catering equipment

This makes vzw Sobo the first West Flemish washing partner of Wash-It, the largest washing network in Europe. The new laundry department has been operational for several weeks, but has now been officially opened. This happened in the presence of, among others, the governor of West Flanders, Carl Decaluwé, mayor Dirk De fauw and Elizabeth Cazaerck, representative of OVAM.

The new department will be responsible for the professional and safe cleaning of reusable catering equipment. Since the change in the legislation of 2020, the use of reusable catering equipment is increasingly becoming the norm for all kinds of events and festivals. Vzw SOBO, together with various tailor-made companies from the Flemish provinces, umbrella organizers, cup facilitators and the founders Building Bridges, is part of Wash-It, a Flemish cooperative platform that functions as a local washing network in Flanders. Sobo vzw is the first washing partner for the province of West Flanders.
