The first data on the autonomy and consumption of the new Lancia Ypsilon has been released, in the Cassina Limited Edition available in Italy in 1906 units and already pre-orderable.

After a long wait made up of previews and spy photos, the debut of the New Lancia Ypsilon has a date: it will be presented on February 14th in Milan. At the same time, it will be offered in the launch edition developed in collaboration with the Cassina atelier and limited to 1906 examples. In the meantime, the Turin company has launched the “1 of 1906” campaign to register the interest of potential buyers, but has also released for the first time some data relating to theautonomy and consumption of the 100% electric version.

After the teasers released in recent weeks, the company has released some official photos and videos of the car, finally showing the entire bodywork. The design is inspired by that of concept Pu+Ra Hpe, with a characteristic LED light strip that reinterprets the grille seen on other Lancia models of the past in a minimalist and technological key. The rear area features a spoiler that recalls a truncated tail and integrates the round rear lights inspired by the Stratos.

The interior, characteristic of the launch edition, features elegant velor seats and an original storage table in the console, covered in blue leather and bearing the Cassina signature, the famous furniture company from Brianza. Lancia’s goal was to recreate the atmosphere of a elegant living room.

Finally, as already anticipated by Lancia, the Ypsilon presents a new infotainment system, which Lancia has called “Sala”(Sound Air Light Augmentation). Featuring two generously sized main screens, it features clear and varied writing customizable widgetsbut also integrates the air conditioning controls, which however are also accessible from more convenient physical buttons.

There is also an advanced voice assistance system, which resembles the most well-known ones in shape digital assistants in use in homes and which will allow the “home automation” of some functions such as navigation and air conditioning.

While the details of the electric powertrain are not yet known, but it is assumed to be similar to that of the “sisters” Peugeot e-208 and Opel Corsa-e, Lancia has released some information on autonomy and consumption. The New Ypsilon, in its 100% battery version (mild hybrid will also be available), has an autonomy approved in the WLTP cycle which varies from 394 to 403 kmwith a declared consumption of 14.3 to 14.6 kWh/100 km.

Orders for the Cassina Limited Edition are officially open, but do not represent a restriction for potential buyers. If anything it is one expression of interest, followed by a contact with the dealer to receive information and details on the car in advance of the launch, scheduled for 14 February. The launch offer will be announced on the same day.
Starting from February 15th the promotional tour of the Ypsilon in Lancia showrooms throughout Italy, which for the occasion will show off a new visual identity, in line with the brand’s new stylistic language.
