The former DFB head trainer Frank Wormuth will be the coach of the Dutch first division club FC Groningen for the coming season. This was announced by the home club of long-time Bayern star Arjen Robben on Wednesday.
Wormuth (61), head of football teacher training at the German Football Association (DFB) from 2008 to 2018, replaces Danny Buijs at Groningen, whose contract will not be extended.
Wormuth comes from Groningen’s league rivals Heracles Almelo and has been given a contract until the summer of 2025.
