The e-commerce specialist Baur Group has found a new human resources manager. On Tuesday, the company, which is part of the Hamburg trading and services group Otto Group, announced that Juliane Klee would take over human resources management on November 1st. The 45-year-old succeeds Carolin Schmidt, who moved to the logistics service provider Hermes Fulfillment within the Otto Group at the beginning of August.
Klee comes from the online fashion retailer Zalando SE. According to her future employer, she was most recently Head of People & Organization and “responsible for all human resources work at all German logistics locations”. At the Baur Group, she will be responsible for “all HR topics and areas of responsibility,” the company explained.
Her area of responsibility therefore includes “operational topics such as the support of all colleagues in the German subsidiaries from recruitment, payroll, training and further education offers to the transition to retirement, but also all strategic HR tasks of the Baur Group”.
Chief Financial Officer Hans-Christian Müller, who is also responsible for human resources at the Baur Group, explained the appointment: “Juliane comes from the retail and logistics environment and is therefore a perfect fit for our group of companies,” he explained in a statement. “She has many years of experience in human resources work and has supervised a variety of impressive areas of responsibility. That’s why I’m very happy that we were able to win her over.” In the future, the designated human resources manager will “incorporate her expertise fully into our HR work and, in particular, play a decisive role in shaping the transformation of the Baur Group,” said Müller.
