New hip for Werner De Smedt: “I have no life left” | BV

In Day All, Werner De Smedt explains why the procedure is necessary. “I’ve been struggling for a whole year,” it sounds. “When I stopped smoking, I started running. During stretching exercises I suddenly got pain in my groin. I thought it would pass, but in January I couldn’t make any progress. The cartilage was completely gone.” And so Werner gets a new hip this week. “I am glad that I can go under the knife, because I can only move indoors. I have no life anymore.”

Although that does not mean that his work at ‘Familie’ – Werner plays fashion designer Rudi Verbiest – is compromised by the operation. “I have been working hard over the past few months so that they have all my material,” says Werner. “Now they’re doing shots that I don’t have to be with.”
