Peek & Cloppenburg KG, Düsseldorf, founded JC Switzerland Holding AG in Zug in October. She is headed by Patrick and Catharina Cloppenburg as Presidents of the Board of Directors.
The new company is to be responsible for the digital business with the takeover of the IT company Fashion Digital for 2.55 million euros and also take over CBM Creative Brands Marken GmbH for 6.16 million euros, reports the textile industry. In December, the acquisition of the majority in Peek & Cloppenburg Wien AG followed. The new location in Zug is considered a tax haven in Switzerland.
At the request of FashionUnited, the company wrote: “Peek & Cloppenburg is pursuing the goal of becoming Europe’s leading omnichannel multi-brand retailer for fashion. With the expansion of our stationary network of P&C, Anson’s and Magasin and the introduction of a customer-centric, digitally-controlled omnichannel concept, we are consistently pursuing our path to achieve this goal.
This requirement is the reason for changes in the functions and dependencies of the companies within the group. Therefore, with the founding of JC Switzerland Holding AG, the company structures were adjusted in order to optimally secure the business of the group of companies for the future”.
However, the new structure will not affect the orientation of Peek & Cloppenburg as a family business or the majority of the operational areas of the company headquarters in Düsseldorf and Vienna. The company does not comment on further details of the company structures.
