Tim Klenner takes on the role of Head of Sales at Maerz Muenchen KG.
Klenner took on his new position at the turn of the year, he announced on Wednesday in a post on the career network Linkedin. Before joining the Munich-based knitwear specialist, he worked for the French clothing retailer Lacoste in Düsseldorf for around seven years, most recently as Head of Sales Germany. Before that, he worked for the British clothing group Pentland Brands, which includes brands such as Berghaus, Speedo and Ellesse, in the North Rhine-Westphalia state capital.
“Now I’m looking forward to bringing my experience and expertise to Maerz and working with a committed team to further strengthen and advance the brand,” said Klenner in the post. “I am excited about the new tasks and challenges that lie ahead of me and look forward to interacting with many of you in the coming weeks and months.
At his new employer he meets an old colleague from Lacoste. Eric Sawalies, who has been Sales Director at Maerz Muenchen since last April, also comes from the French brand. However, Sawalies worked as Wholesale Director Textile and Footwear for Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as Scandinavia in Munich.
