Stefanie Kniepen has taken on the role of Managing Director Finance at Internetstores.
According to her own information on her profile on the career network Linkedin, Kniepen has been working for the subsidiary of the insolvent online sporting goods retailer Signa Sports United NV (SSU) since October.
She succeeded Thomas Funk, who left the Stuttgart company, reports the trade magazine Textilwirtschaft. Kniepen was previously active as Deputy Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Signa Sports United and had previously worked in finance for the parent Signa Group since 2017.
In October, SSU and numerous subsidiaries filed for bankruptcy after Signa Holding canceled an equity commitment. New owners should be found for Tennis-Point and Internet stores using “structured investor processes”, according to the provisional insolvency administrator Christian Gerloff from the law firm Gerloff Liebler Rechtsanwälte, who was appointed for the umbrella company SSU as well as Tennis-Point GmbH and Internetstores GmbH, and Stefan Meyer from Pluta Rechtsanwalts GmbH, who is responsible for Signa Sports United GmbH and the logistics company Publikat GmbH.
