New General Manager for Sportstyle

Puma has appointed Lionel Telega as the new General Manager Sportstyle with immediate effect.

The native Frenchman takes over the largest division of the sports goods retailer in Herzogenaurach from Maria Valdes, Puma announced on Thursday. Valdes has been a member of the board since the beginning of the year as Chief Product Officers (CPO). Telega will report directly to Valdes in his new position.

“We are confident that Lionel’s commercial background and valuable experience will help us continue to grow our Sportstyle business unit,” said Valdes.

Telega comes from its own ranks. He has held various positions in the company since 2004, most recently as Global Director Go-To-Market. Before Puma, the 43-year-old worked for the shoe brand Salomon and the car manufacturer Porsche.
