The Swiss health shoe provider MBT has underlined its international growth ambitions with the opening of a new flagship store in the Spanish capital Madrid.
With the new shop on the centrally located Calle Narváez shopping street, the company, which was founded in 1996, wants to present its new brand image and strengthen the label’s presence in Spain and Europe.
However, the focus of MBT’s international expansion strategy is Asia. More than 200 new stores are planned to open there over the next few years. In recent months, the shoe retailer has already expanded its branch network in the region to include stores in important metropolises such as Singapore and the Chinese capital Beijing.
