Jochem Dobber can fully focus on the 4×400 relay at the World Indoor Championships. The athlete from Santpoort-South does not mind, because he says he has taken it easy. “Indoor I play with that a bit.”
Dobber feels more comfortable in the outdoor season than in the indoor season. That can also be explained, because indoors a 400 meters over two laps and outdoor over one. “I can lose my speed a lot more outside,” says Dobber about his preference for outdoor.

As a result, he will run the 4×400 relay during the World Indoor Championships next weekend. Last summer they won silver at the Olympic Games and gold at the European Indoor Championships last year. Suddenly the Dutch team has become one of the favourites. “We must act accordingly. Chin up, chest out.”
