With the culture manager Avi Toubiana, the Jewish Culture Days have a new director. The trained car mechanic, studied actor and long-time restaurateur will direct the festival from the 35th edition from 10th to 18th September. He succeeds Gerhard Kampf, “who has made the Culture Days a great success over the past six years,” says Gideon Joffe, Chairman of the Jewish Community of Berlin. Toubiana is looking forward to the task and wants to introduce Berliners “to familiar but also surprising things and invite them to get to know Jewish culture and Jewish life”.
