New Death Cab For Cutie video: Ben Gibbard helps out at the record pressing plant

American indie rock band Death Cab For Cutie have released a new single. In the video for the song “Here To Forever” we see singer/guitarist Ben Gibbard asking at the vinyl pressing plant when their new record, Asphalt Meadows, will be ready. This will take months, counter the two employees (played by Natalie Palamides and Courtney Pauroso), who turned out to be not particularly motivated. Unless Gibbard lends a hand – and he does in the next four and a half minutes.

The video was directed and written by Lance Bangs (Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Kanye West). “Here To Forever” is the second single following “Roman Candles” from Death Cab For Cutie’s tenth album ASPHALT MEADOWS, due out September 16 and produced by John Congleton.

Their previous studio album THANK YOU FOR TODAY was released in 2018. The band celebrated their breakthrough with their fourth studio album TRANSATLANTICISM in 2003. Since then, their songs have been used as soundtracks in many series, for example.
