The Rolling Stones are performing in Munich and Gelsenkirchen this year as part of their “Sixty” tour. But there may be new concert dates in the near future.

At least that’s what a post the band posted on their social media channels suggests.

A short video shows the Stones’ stage just before a performance. Then Keith Richards hits “Street Fighting Man” and we hear the voice of Mick Jagger shouting, “Hi, everybody!”

The Stones write about the clip “Wednesday 13th April 3 PM BST” (10 a.m. German time), which could also indicate that the dates could be specific to the US tour.

Rolling Stones: new album coming soon?

However, it would also be possible for the Rolling Stones to finally announce the release of a new album or a live record. But given that things are only just getting started with new drummer Steve Jordan replacing the late Charlie Watts, that seems unlikely.

The release of a live LP is actually imminent: The infamous intimate Toronto shows will appear for the first time. In 1977, the Stones performed two secret concerts in a small Toronto club on March 4th and 5th under the code name The Cockroaches, each of which was attended by just 300 people.

More about the Rolling Stones

Now the show set will be officially released for the first time under the title “Live At The El Mocambo”. In addition to classics like “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” and “Brown Sugar”, the Stones also played “Worried About You”, which only ended up on the 1981 album “Tattoo You”. The set is available from May 13th or can be heard in the stream.

Meanwhile, a BBC documentary is dedicated to the band’s early days to mark the 60th anniversary of the Rolling Stones’ founding.
