Delivery postponed
At the end of 2021, we announced on indebuurt.nl that there are new construction plans for the Engelandlaan. We also told them that the residential tower with 85 social rental homes will be completed in mid-2024. That was still the planning at the time, but it has since been adjusted to mid-2025.
Fifteen floors
Housing corporation De Goede Woning have the residential complex built on the Engelandlaan. It concerns a building of 45 meters high with 15 floors, containing 85 social rental apartments for one and two-person households. They are two and three-room apartments, all with their own balcony. What is special is that the balconies are placed differently every six floors. The shape of the building ensures that all apartments have good views.

Sustainable heating and cooling
43 parking spaces will be added to the building. The sustainable homes are heated and supplied with hot water by the Heat Cold Storage to which the town hall is already connected.
The municipality will start preparing the ground for construction in May 2023 and construction work will start in July 2023. The new homes are therefore expected to be completed in mid-2025. The rental of the homes is through Woonnet Haaglanden.
