Former national soccer player Franco Foda takes over as national coach in Kosovo almost a year and a half after leaving Austria.
The FFK association announced the commitment of the 57-year-old Mainz native on Saturday. Foda receives a two-year contract, the goal is to qualify for the 2026 World Cup finals in the USA, Mexico and Canada.
“Foda is a results coach. We want results because we have completed our development,” said Association President Agim Ademi on Kosovo’s Independence Day: “We hope that Foda will be the coach who will go down in the history of Kosovo, to lead the country for to qualify for the important competitions.”
