Katag AG is expanding its board of directors and creating the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Henning Gerbaulet will join the clothing retailer’s board of directors on September 1st, Katag confirmed on Tuesday at the request of FashionUnited. As part of this, he will also take on the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and as such will coordinate Katag’s operational business. The designated COO also assumes responsibility for the product and marketing departments.
“I am looking forward to the new task and will do everything I can to improve the team’s performance at Katag AG,” said Gerbaulet. “I was attracted to the new task because I still see great potential by expanding and improving Katag AG’s range of products and services and want to open up new, future-oriented areas for the company.”
Gerbaulet moves from Eterna to Katag. According to his profile on the LinkedIn career network, he worked as managing director of the shirt specialist for just over eleven years. In January he was replaced as CEO by Fritz Terbuyken. Gerbaulet left the company at his own request, according to a statement last December.
Further innovations on the board
However, Gerbaulet’s appointment is not the only change on the clothing retailer’s board. Christian Freckem was appointed Head of Law and Taxes on January 1st. He will also take over the newly created sustainability department.
Daniel Terberger will remain as CEO, responsible for the areas of strategy, communication and finance, and Knut Brokelmann will also continue to be responsible for sales and the Katag brand office.
