New CFO at Salvatore Ferragamo

The Italian fashion group Salvatore Ferragamo SpA has a new chief financial officer.

Pierre La Tour will take over the role of chief financial officer of the group from March 18, Ferragamo said on Tuesday. In addition to heading the administration, finance, control and investor relations departments, he was also appointed manager with strategic tasks by the board of directors.

The new finance chief moves to Ferragamo from the Dutch engineering company Biesse Group, where he worked as group chief financial officer and investor relations.

“I am very pleased to welcome Pierre La Tour to our team,” said Ferragamo CEO Marco Gobbetti. “I am sure that his international profile and experience will bring great added value to our group.”

The fashion industry is a new challenge for La Tour, who began his career in the non-profit sector at the Aga Khan Foundation. The designated CFO already worked at the financial services company Société Générale before joining the Fiat Group in 1997. There he held various positions in the group’s companies with increasing responsibility. From 2015, the designated finance chief served in the role of CFO China at engineering firm CNH Industrial, where he led a comprehensive turnaround by streamlining and consolidating corporate structures, according to the statement.
