Slowear Venezia has appointed Piero Braga to the position of CEO.
After the founder of the Italian clothing retailer died in 2021, the company ushered in a new era, Slowear announced on Wednesday. In this context, it is reorganizing its top management.
Braga brings retail and wholesale experience to the table. He has worked for Italian fashion companies such as Tod’s, Zegna and most recently Gucci. He has held various positions at the Italian fashion house over the past eight years, most recently as Executive Vice President Strategic Advisor. Previously, he held the roles of CEO of Gucci’s Timepieces Division and Executive Vice President of Indirect Channels, Outlet, Travel Retail.
“I strongly believe that Slowear is one of the most respected brands out there and my goal is to give an important impetus to the development of the company,” said Braga. “I am ready to bring the best practices and strategies to make that happen.” Accelerate growth across channels while respecting the uniqueness of the company’s vision.”
Restructuring at Slowear
Braga’s appointment is part of a broader realignment of the company. This was driven by a capital increase backed by the Italian investment company Nuo Capital and the previous shareholders.
In this context, Slowear’s Board of Directors was also reorganized. In future, it will consist of CEO Piero Braga and Monica Marsilli, in addition to the existing members of Chairman Paolo Ferrin, Giorgio Delpiano and Stefano Sassi.
