New CEO at Jacquemus

French luxury label Jacquemus has announced the appointment of Bastien Daguzan as its new chief executive officer. He joins the company from Paco Rabanne and will take up his role in May 2022.

Daguzan first studied law at the Sorbonne in Paris and then in 2008 at the Institut Français de la Mode in Paris, where he specialized in design and luxury. He has been President of the IFM Alumni Association since 2017 with the aim of promoting networking in the industry.

Daguzan is a quick starter who was appointed CEO of Parisian brand Lemaire when he was under 30. There he worked closely with designer and founder Christophe Lemaire and co-creative director Sarah Linh Tran and initiated a strategic partnership with fast retailing brand Uniqlo. This led to the “U line” cooperation and a minority stake in the Japanese group. It also managed to increase sales by 5 percent.

In 2017, Daguzan joined luxury brand Paco Rabanne as Managing Director, achieving triple-digit growth alongside artistic director Julien Dossena. In less than two years he repositioned the brand and strengthened the online and consumer business. In 2022, Daguzan opened a fashion and lifestyle consultancy for fashion brands in Paris.

Since June 2021, Jacquemus has opted for ‘in-season’ shows rather than seasons, making his collections accessible immediately after the runway shows. Just a few days ago, the fashion house announced a collaboration with Nike. It has not yet been announced which areas Daguzan will focus on in his role.
