New car and bicycle parking at Veurne station

The bicycle parking is twice as large as the previous one. There are sixty parking spaces in the new car park, including a number of spaces for travelers with reduced mobility.

“With the new car and bicycle parking facilities, NMBS wants to make it easier for travelers to park their bicycle, car or moped at the station and transfer to one of the 40 trains that stop there every day,” says NMBS spokesperson Dimitri Temmerman. .

“The new parking facilities fit in with the plan to develop Veurne station into an intermodal and accessible transport hub. The new elevated platforms were also put into service more than a year ago.”

Bicycle parking areas

“The three bicycle parks together have 132 places. That is twice as many as in the previous bicycle park, which was recently demolished. Instead, the largest of the three bicycle parks has been built at the front of the station, with space for about eighty bicycles .

At the front of the station there is a smaller bicycle parking lot with 25 places, of which eight places are provided for cargo bikes or mopeds. At the back of the station is the third bicycle parking, also with 25 places. Four places are provided for cargo bikes and mopeds.”

Car parking
