New building for associations and initiatives in Ardooie

Many organizations are now scattered in old energy-hungry buildings. Sometimes they are also distant.

Centrally situated

The new building will be built on the Prinsendreef site, where the youth center and the house on the corner will be demolished. The new building should accommodate various organizations and associations. Public transport will also have a permanent place there.

“The great advantage is that everything will be centrally located in the vicinity of the schools. This way they can go from the music school back to the childcare center and vice versa,” says Veronique Buyck, alderman for Youth in Ardooie.

The works will start in six months. The municipality is investing 2.5 million euros in the project.
