Prince Albert of Monaco, 65, and Princess Charlene, 45, have recently been rumored to be divorcing after almost 12 years of marriage.
The French newspaper Royauté recently reported that Albert and Charlene would have initiated the steps involved in the divorce process.
The Court of Monaco has now published a statement in which the princely couple officially denies.
– I want to officially deny the malicious rumors spread by the French newspaper Royauté. We ask people to ignore the article, which is completely unfounded, the court’s spokesperson said in the release The Daily Mail by.
Albert and Charlene met each other for the first time already in 2000 and for the first time they officially represented together in 2006. The princely couple got engaged in 2010. They got married in 2011. Albert and Charlene have two children, twins Prince born in 2014 Jacques and the princess Gabriella.
Despite the rumors of a divorce, Prince Albert has announced that the royal couple will attend the coronation of King Charles in London together in May.
