New Brand Director comes from C&A

Gerry Weber has appointed Brigitte Danielmeyer to the role of Brand Director.

In this position, she will be responsible for the main brand of the Gerry Weber Group, the clothing manufacturer from Halle in Westphalia announced on Monday. Together with Victoria Frye, Head of Design Gerry Weber Collection, she will implement the positioning of the brand.

Danielmeyer comes to Gerry Weber from C&A, where she was Director Buying Women and, in addition to the “procurement strategy, was also responsible for the modernization of the collections, the expansion of the e-commerce business and the development of new business areas,” according to the announcement. She was also active with brands such as Liebeskind Berlin, Tommy Hilfiger and Esprit.

“With Brigitte, we have gained an experienced and distinguished manager for Gerry Weber,” says Gerry Weber Managing Director Angelika Schindler-Obenhaus. “She understands how to design transformation processes, how to further develop brands according to the needs of customers and she masters the interaction between bestseller management and fashion as well as driving digitization.”

The company announced the departure of Marianne Ritter, Executive Vice President Product at Gerry Weber, on Friday. Ritter previously headed the brand’s product division.
