New board member comes from C&A

The ANWR Group is planning further changes in the Executive Board.

Martina Novotny has been appointed to the role of the group’s Chief Digital Officer and thus to the board of the trade cooperation, the ANWR Group eG announced on Thursday. This also completes the generation change at the top management level of the trade cooperation.

In her new role, Novotny will primarily be responsible for the further development of the group’s digital trading solutions and information technology. As a board member, she will also be given responsibility for the companies ANWR Media, EBG Data and ANWR Data. In the future, she will also be responsible for the management board of the Schuh Mücke Group.

Novotny is following in the footsteps of board member Matthias Grevener. According to Mainhausen, Grever will train his successor before he retires. The sports area, for which Grever was previously responsible, will be transferred to Management Board member and Chief Commercial Officer Tobias Eichmeier on September 1st.

With Novotny, the ANWR Group is bringing an experienced manager on board. Most recently, she was Head of Germany for C&A. Previously, she held various management positions at the furniture company Depot.

“We are very pleased that in Martina Novotny we have gained a manager for our company who has many years of experience in retail and e-commerce,” says Holger Baierl, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Only on Tuesday did it become known that board member Fritz Terbuyken would be resigning from the board of the ANWR Group at his own request.
